    • pattern:
Chain 4 and join with a slip stitch in the first chain, a ring is formed.
      • Rnd 1: Chain 2, do 13 DC in the ring, join with a slip stitch in the first DC (13 stitches)
      • Rnd 2: Chain 2, 2 DC in each stitch, join with a slip stitch in the first DC (26 sts)
      • Rnd 3: Ch 2, dc in first st, *2dc in next st, dc in next st, repeat from * around ending with 2dc in last st, join with a sl st in first dc. 39 sts.
      • Rnd 4: Ch 2, *dc in first two sts, 2dc in next st, repeat from * around, join with a sl st in first dc. 52 sts.
      • Rnd 5: Ch 2, *dc in first three sts, 2dc in next st, repeat from * around, join with a sl st in first dc. 65 sts.
      • That produced a disk of 7.00 to 7.25 inches in diamater. Good for me.
      • Rnd 6 to desired height: Ch 2, dc in each st around, join with a sl st in first dc. 65 sts.
      • used a smaller hook for the last 2 or 3 rounds.

    • start:
      • ch 5, sl st into 1st ch to form a ring.
      • Rnd 1: ch 2, (working over yarn tail) 15 dc into ring, sl st into top of ch-2. (16 sts)
      • Rnd 2: ch 2, * 2 dc into next st, 1 dc into next st, rep from * around to last st, 2 dc into last st, sl st into top of ch-2. (24 sts)
      • Rnd 3: ch 2, * 2 dc into next st, 1 dc into each of next 2 sts, rep from * around to the last 2 sts, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc into next st, sl st into top of ch-2. (32 sts)
      • etc... increasing until desired circumference.
      • Rnds 7 to 14: ch 2, 1 dc into each st around to the end, sl st into top of ch-2.
      • i would crochet final two rows with a smaller hook.

    • ch 4
    • join slip stitch into first chain to make ring.
    • ch 3
    • dc 12 into ring
    • join with slip stitch
    • ch 3
    • etc.

You may choose to join rnds or work in a continuous spiral as it makes no difference to the formula. Make an adjustable ring (magic loop) and work Rnd 1 into it. Or Ch 2 and work Rnd 1 into the 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring. —6 sts
Rnd 2: 2 sc into each st around —12 sts
Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around —18 sts
Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) around —24 sts
Rnd 5: (Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) around —30 sts
Rnd 6: (Sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) around —36 sts
