Chain 21 [multiples of 2 plus 1]

Row 1: go into 2nd chain from hook and do * 1 SC, then do 1DC in next stitch. * repeat across the row

Row 2: Chain 1 turn, Skip first stitch, * do 1 SC & 1DC in the next stitch, skip 1 stitch * repeat from * to * across the row ending with 1SC and 1DC in the last stitch.

Repeat row 2 for the pattern.

For Row 2 and beyond, the hook goes into the wider gap that has an upside-down triangle shape.
